A HOTEL THAT LIVES FOR REGIONAL PRODUCE

We love our homeland and we are proud of its established culinary treasures. Regional produce is the driving force behind our creations for true “foodies”. The small hamlet of Plars is a fantastic little treasure for fans of fine dining. Right near our hotel in Algund you will find our family-owned butcher’s business “Siebenförcher”. Now in its third generation, it offers magnificent bacon, ham and sausage products, perfect for that traditional South Tyrolean “Jause” (snack) during the daytime.

Algund’s dairy is located in the centre and supplies the perfect accompanying cheeses. Guests who are interested may wish to embark on a guided sight-seeing tour of the company where they can learn first-hand how all kinds of delicious cheeses, butter and cream products can be made from mountain-fresh farmers’ milk.  In the same place you will find an outstanding bakery. The famous South Tyrolean “Roten“ or the original-style “Schnapsl” can be purchased directly from its neighbour, whilst the finest in the art of brewing is offered by the Forst company, which is only a few kilometres away from Algund near Meran.
